BOARD OF DIRECTORS 

Our board of directors advises, governs, and oversees policies and the direction of Peace of Hope. While also assisting with leadership and general promotion of POH. Our board members take great pride in making sure the foundation has adequate resources to advance its mission and also supporting the organizations needs. 

Caroline Jones

Caroline Jones

Caroline Jones is a graduate of the University of North Carolina School of the Arts (Bachelor of Music Degree – Viola Performance). This Greensboro, NC native is a member of the Greensboro Symphony Orchestra, is a freelance musician for hire and teaches violin, viola, piano, voice, organ and music theory from age 4 to 70+.  Caroline plays Classical, Jazz, R&B and Gospel. She is a member of Elim Christian Fellowship Church where she serves as Associate Pastor in the area of Care Connect, meeting the various needs of the congregation and community.  In past years, she has taught Sunday School, worked with Music and Arts Ministries, Youth Ministries, Senior Ministries, worked and served in Corporate America.  She is the Administrative Support Specialist at North Carolina A&T State University in the Journalism Department (Television Studio).  Her additional activities include serving as Co-Chair of the Greensboro Symphony Orchestra Committee, Greensboro Symphony Orchestra EDI (Equity, Diversity, Inclusive) Committee, Greensboro Symphony Board of Directors and volunteers to serve the community in various capacities.  Her hobbies include cooking, watching sports, hosting family gatherings, social butterfly fun (pre-Covid).

Phyllis Nance

Phyllis A. Nance, a Bronx, NY native has worked in the nonprofit community for as long as she can remember. Her passion for people is ingrained in her spirit and her infectious smile.  Phyllis has migrated to the wonderful state of North Carolina in 2006 where she quickly jumped into community involvement. As a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. Phyllis quickly joined the local chapter and became hands on in various community ventures. Her passion to help her community excel led her to the administrative support position for Peace of Hope where she has been actively serving for the past 7 years. 

Though Phyllis has degrees in the business field, Phyllis has a heart for people. Graduating from Strayer University with her Master’s in Business Administration, Phyllis began working in the field of social work where she was case manager for the Harriet Tubman Family Living Center in New York, New York. 

In addition to being an active Executive Board Member of Peace of Hope, Phyllis is a Troop leader for a local Girl Scout Troop with the Peaks to Piedmont Service Unit. She is an active member of World Victory International Christian Center, where her and her husband serve as Life Group leaders.
